some 8 years ago, i bought my sister 2 parrot fish for some occassion i cant remember. since then, they have been in our terrace..quietly observing everything that went on in our lives.. ehehehe (well, that's what i like to think) they know lotsa things other people dont know too!

last monday, when i came home. one of them was facing downwards, which is his usual thing.. yun pala patay na!!! =( he got sick and never ate.. mom said he's been that way for days.. this fish is nameless pero love ko ito.. he was bigger than my head na! super bigat pa.. i'll miss you fishy.. you were so tiny when you moved in with us...

John and Yoko

some complains about John and Yoko in Greenblet 5:

1. my friend, Jacky, went up to the receptionist and said she wanted a table for 4. the girl (who looks like nina) told her she has to be with her friends before they can offer her a table (what the heck?)

2. while that was going on, i was already inside, wating for her. the same receptionist was the one who gave me my table

3. everytime we "finished" one plate, someone would come out of no where and ask us if they can take it away already. so even when my friend wanted to eat some more, she just nodded. by the time they did that to our 3rd dish, the 3 of said NO strongly.. well, that's the time they stopped asking

4. when they gave us our change from our bill, it was kulang! the nerve!

i'm never going back there.. they have bad service.. staff is not friendly as well.. sayang.. their food was good pa naman...

Ang Init!!!

Ang INIT!!!! sobrang init ngayon, promise. kahit hating gabi na, iba yung singaw/hangin! maski yung hangin na lumalabas sa electric fan mo, ang init! things that make the summer heat worse:

1. siksikan sa public tranpo
2. aircon na sobrang hindi kaya ang room/sasakyan
3. monthly period ( i am really dreading this)
4. jabar

however, i managed to find other things that can help me cool down:

1. have lots of cold drinks! frapps are a bit expensive so settle for oj, nescafe freeze (26 lang itich)
2. stay inside the office as much as possible!!!
3. always have ur pamaypay with you
4. for girls, try wearing skirts more often.. sobrang relieving compared to slacks and jeans

sana talga makapag beach naman ako this year.. kasi last year wala akong beach getaway =(.. this is my second year na po na hindi nagbeach.. huhu..

ganun pa man, mas gusto ko parin na mapawisan kaysa mabasa ng ulan. i really dont like it when it rains.

just realized that i lost my counter =(...

TIRED

i just want to say that i am completely tired.... i want to go on vacation but i cannot afford it, and i dont have time. i want to travel for a month and just eat and sleep to my heart's content...

i need a break from work.. being in the office for more than 12 hours a day sucks..

but then again.. it's Christmas.. my favorite season ever.. better than my bday, or any other holiday...

even if i get tired, i'm still thankful for all the blessings i have received this season. amen..

somebody get me some icecream!!!!!!!!

Was sick..

was sick this weekend. went home last friday with a runny nose and soar throat. i was sneezing while in line at the terminal and teary eyed coz of my clogged nose and depression coz no one's picking me up to bring me home... i'm really sensitive when i get sick.. i seek attention but usually keep it to myself.. now, i'm a bit better. just a little cough and colds. loads of decolgen, vitamin c, sleep, water, and a nice purple get-well balloon did the trick! and of course, someone who insisted i stay away from sweets...

shoe ishu

ok... need a little help here regarding policies for dresscodes, particularly with shoes. for guys, there is no problem distinguishing corporate shoes from thier rubber shoes. so that's pretty settled.

however, it's a different story for girls. some people think that open-toe should not be allowed. closed shoes should always be worn, with or without heels... this is a bit of a problem since a lot of girls arnt comfy wearing closed shoes. why? it causes corn on your toes and around your foot. if you want to buy really comfy pumps, you have to have a budget of around 4k to buy from marks, naturalizer, rockport, ect.

in my opinion, i think open-toe shoes should be allowed since these looks corporate as well:

on the other hand, these.. although these are closed shoes...i think they do NOT look corporate at all...

(although i like the last one a lot.. and wear something similar to work sometimes).. point is, wats a gud suggestion to distinguish corporate open-toe shoes from non-corporate open-toe shoes? la lang.

Lost in the city

my gosh, sobrang jologs ko. i took a cab from work going to RCBC plaza. i even asked my officemates if the carlos romulo theater was in the new building to make sure kasi ang alam ko RCBC had an old building where the mapua IT courses were being conducted. so anyways, i went up to the building and asked if the theater was inside. the stupid guard said: ay ma'am! hindi po dito. sa kabila pa iyon! and he pointed towards makati med. GULP! MANONG, pwede hong lakarin? --hindi daw. mag cab daw ako. buti nalang at pinilit ko maglakad. i went across ayala through the underpass and when it got to convergys, i asked around and everyone pointed me back to the building! i even called kath and told her it was in a different building since she was in shell already! jooooooolooooooogs! grabe pa naman magpanick yon. buti nalng she asked around and called me and told me i was supposed to go back.

so super pawis nako halos ma-jabar nako, i went back to the tunnel with the help of those guys who manage the parking lots in makati. (thank you sa inyo!)

in short, nagmuka akong timang sa makati. nasa kabilang dulo lang ng office namin ang building na ito at kung saan-saan pako tinuro ng guard. gusto ko shang sugurin kaya lang late na ang lola mo.. to think i promised to help out as a receptionist.. waaaaaaa!

i am sick

i am sick. yun lang. sobrang sick since yesterday. SL ako yesterday but had to report to work today for an after-work meeting. wellll.. bale wala ang aking effort kasi i am going home na and 6pm palang. wala na akong strength to join the meeting... Thank God my boss was kind and cool enough to let me go. Thanks Ma'am Sue! sobrang thankful ako.. i might not even work tomorrow para i could rest for next Monday. uuuuugh!!! i am ms. runny nose girl with matching occassional cough and nasal voice... havnt been sick like this for 3 months.. i hate it!

Honesty

A few Sundays ago, it was my turn again to be Teacher Dessa for Sunday School. Nways, We did some handprints.. it was fun since they took turns and didnt do it all at the same time...this is a lot neater. Nways, as usual, meron nanaman magagandang hirits. but my favorite is this one:

Teacher Dessagirl was standing next to this smart-mouth kid.. my butt was directly behind her face so when she turned:

Student: Teacher, parang lumalaki yung pwet niyo! (Siyempre she did not mean any harm (?) )

Teacher Dessa: Um, talga? Oo nga eh.. (Sobrang shocked ko ay hindi ko alam ang sasabhin ko!)

Student: Oo, ang laki eh!

Grabe na ituuuu! It's weird.. i am well aware that i gained 20 lbs even if i have been trying to lose weight for 2 years now.. but when this kid said it, parang sobrang ~OUCH! i guess i know kids really tell the truth.. =( sobrang depressed ko, maybe i'll just have some choklits in a while.. (i know, i know!) ito ang mga pictures nila. hulaan niyo nalang kung sino jan ang mabait na nagsabi nun. pero ganun paman, masaya pa rin ako most of the time pagkasama ko sila.. wehehehe! i like being a kid..

Ayaw ko sa ulan.. pwamis!

It's been raining for 'bout 3 days (sometimes at night or early morning or lunch..or merienda.. blah, blah, blah!) I get depressed when it rains. i dunno why.. i guess i'm one of those people whose hormones are triggered by the rain. pag ganito na ang view from our pantry window, i panick.ever since i was in preshcool, i hated it when it rains. It's so hard to get in the school bus and no garden play for me. when i was in grade school, i even hated it more coz our Christmas program was ruined aaaaaaand! it feels gross staying inside a school bus or cab after running in the rain... tapos super hirap pa mag-commute tapos ang dali ko pa magkasakit! i swear, a drizzle for like 8 seconds makes my nose runny and my throat dry. When it rains, important events can't push thru coz people are stranded anywhere and the venue gets all messed-up! sheesh, i can think of so many things that's real negative about the rain.. but then again, it has some benefits. (er, wala lang akong maisip ngayon) Rain, rain go away! Come again another day...

Neat-Freak

When i was a teenager, one could say i was a 'neat-freak'. When i got to college, i even considered myself with OCPD (obsessive compulsive personality disorder) due to this overwhelming urge to keep things organized nad neat. After graduation, i always bragged that being organized was one of my strengths. Argh!

And theeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnn... i got busy. too busy to fix my stuff and my table. drat. now i don't have time to be oc-oc anymore. i'm starting to know my mess and be comfortable with a gross-looking table. every time i go home, i just shove everything inside my overhead cabinet and take it out the following day. My desk is really gross.. kulang nalang bad smell, you have a complete picture of a dumpsite. haaaay... when oh, when will i get a chance to fix this? feeling ko tinatamad nako magpakaorganize. mid-year evaluation is coming up and i'm so sure my boss will point this out to me... waaaaaa!

so THIS is what my bald spot looks like!

when i was about 2 or 3, my parents went to baguio for a youth camp and decided to bring me with them. unfortunately, there was this monkey in camp and everyone thought this monster was harmless. so my ninong ces took me to see it (i think he thought i'd be amused). we got too close and WHAM! the monkey scratched my head! my mom told me i was rushed to the hospital and the doctors did a nasty job with the stitches.

so now, when people who fix my hair see this, i tell them the story. it was only now that i thought of taking a picture of it (acutally, my sister did) so i can actually SEE what it looks like. my sister's bf said it looks like the logo of mitsubishi. i'd say i agree. sad thing is, it still hurts when someone touches it. weird!
