Yogoo a la Mode: make your own yogurt!

my nieces brought us to a yogurt store where you can have it any way you like it! at $.35 an ounce, you get all the yogurt you want fat-free!!

i dont like yogurt that much but this is really good. the strawberry kiwi tasted good!

i guess this is where teenagers from their neighborhood like to hang: pinoy yang mga batang yan! akala mo eh 23 na! mga 18 palang yan.. mga musmos!

here's where the fattening stuff comes in: your toppings! i had chocolate chips, gummy bears, and fresh strawberries and kiwi in mine... (drooling again)

lizette, princess tita rona and tita dessa:

i really liked it so we had a second round with nico and amen:

they have this wall you can write on.. and erase after.. people write weird stuff here..like on Vday, everyone asked if they can be his her valentine and left bogus numbers.. ngek

The Bestest Burger in the World

i think the first time i had my in n out burger was back in 2000 with ida mae and paula and gio.. it was soooooooooooooo goooooooood!

this resto is found only in the west coast.. they only have like three types of orders

1. burger meal
2. cheeseburger meal
3. double cheese burger meal

#2 is my fave!!! nways, i dont really remember the exact menu but it's that simple!!! the burgers are so plain with no special eck eck sauce.. but it's soooo yummy... the fries... aaahhh... are made from fresh potatoes and not those frozen ones. when you go to california, dont miss this... it's the bestsest bestest burger in the world!!!! (drooling)

My Trip to the Aloha State

Aloha! Last month, i had a chance to go back to hawaii after 10 years. It's still one of the most beautiful places on earth because of its weather, people, and the island itself. We stayed at our family friend's house, the Suetos'. Although the trip was short and tiring, it was such a blessing to be there again.

Tita Lina took me and my parents to pearl harbor. This is called the USS ARIZONA MEMORIAL. This is such a cool place: you can take a boat going to one of the ships that sank (Arizona). They made this port thingy where you can stand up and when you look over the window, you can see the battle ship below you. Most people who visit here are the japanese. Here's a pic of Tita Lina, my mom, and I at Pearl Harbor:

Then we went to the Aloha Tower. It's this tower near waikiki and i took some pictures from the top. You can see almost all of the island from there.

The highlight of my stay in hawaii was the encounter God retreat. This was the main reason why i went with my parents. Last June 2004, i got a chance to attend this retreat and was empowered by the holy spirit. Last March, i was already part of the staff who facilitated the retreat. I did small talks/lectures with 5 teenagers who were all filipinos but mostly were born in hawaii so they can't speak in filipino. Again i am thankful to the Lord for using me and my family in this ministry. There were about 15 attendees from the Filipino congregation and the EGR was held in makaha golf club and resort. This experience reminded me of the prayer of Jabez: where you ask the Lord to expand your teritory to fulfill the great commission of sharing Christ to those who are lost. Doing mission work and ministry outside my country helped me realized that it is possible for God to use an ordinary girl like me to actually share his love to others. Pastor Randy, (pastor of Waipahu Church) asked me to come back this September so i can handle the youth again... hmm payagan kaya ako mag leave? plus yung leave ko for hong kong disneyland? plus yung leave ko for my summer getaway? parang feeling ko ang dami ko pang leave credits. Nway, here's a pic of most of the kids i handled (from left to right: melissa, moi, venus, baby jane, and leni-tita lina's daughter)

Well, hope to be back soon... Sarap kasama ang aking hapines dito... yihee!

HHHHEEEEELLLLP!

oh my gulay! help please! last night, my cousin told me that i would be home alone tomorrow until after lunch. ok lang... e anu ngayon? last week pako naka leave ni hindi pa ako nakakarami ng tulog. then she told me: "bumili ako ng kilbasa" (wowoweew!) this is one of the bestest foods on my list and i can only buy it in the states. so everytime i come here, or anyone else in the family comes here, i always ask them to bring home at least 5 of this yummy sausage-like thingy.

the problem is this: "paki luto nalang. lahat, yung 3. para kumain yung mga bata and magbabaon si jonathan" (her hubby and my cousin) O MY GULAY! PANICK ATTACK! dessa girl is in panick level 10!!!!!

thank you, Lord and my boo was on line. it was noel who intoduced this dish to moi. i felt so stupid asking my boo how to FRY that thing.... i even asked my sister to pray for me coz its a lot of food to put to waste..

noooowww, i am alone and done cooking (thanks so much to my boo... i miss you!). i took a picture of the first batch i cooked but cant upload the thing yet. and i had brunch at 10am. it tasted ok... wahaaaa! so nervous. what will they say? yung mga bata madali i-please. kasi before i cooked eggs and hotdogs and they were like: "tita dessa, that was good... thanks so much!"

nway, for those of you who can cook, this may sound stupid but i was nervous in doing the following recipe

-slice kilbasa into quater of an inch thick
-cook with water until h2o's all gone
-wait until garlic is brown and set aside
-fry onions then add in the garlic and kilbasa

it sounds so damn easy, right? WELL NOT FOR ME! NEWS FULASH! I DO NOT COOK! i do not slice onions, or skin garlic (whatever you call that) or slice oversized sausages!

sus, napaka pathetic ko... nway, it's 12:30 PM and i better take a shower kasi may uuwi na. and! hindi ako natalsikan ng mantika! WAHUUUU!

shoot, sana masarap yung linuto ko. i'll post the pic as soon as i can.
